The Leap of Faith

On the Leap of Faith, this week we talk with Fr.James Good now aged 94, who in 1968 lost his right to preach in the Cork dioceses when he expressed his objections to Humanae Vitae Pope Paul VI, encyclical on contraception.

Celebrating 70 years this year as a priest he shares how he took the decision to speak out and the repercussions to his life as a priest.
This Saturday is International Holocaust Memorial Day and we talk with Yanky Fachler from the Jewish Historical Society of Ireland who drops in to talk about a unique convergence of circumstances resulting in the creation of three Jewish-owned textile factories in Galway, Castlebar and Longford that saved dozens of European Jews from the Holocaust.
